Kaltura: Adding a Kaltura Video Presentation



A Kaltura Video Presentation allows instructors to sync a media file with a PowerPoint presentation or other document. Before Adding a Video Presentation to your course, instructors should refer to the instructions on Creating a Kaltura Video Presentation.

NOTE: An updated version of Flash is required.


To Add a Kaltura Video Presentation

1. Login to Moodle and select your course.

2. Turn editing on by clicking the Edit button at the top right corner of the page.

3. Click on Add an activity or resource in the Topic in which you want the video presentation.

4. Click on Kaltura Video Resource. Click Add.

5. Enter Video Title in Name section and add description if necessary.

6. Click on Add media.

7. Click Select for the presentation you would like to add to your presentation.

8. Customize the Media Options, such as the Player Skin, Size, and the Metadata to include. Once finished, click Embed to return to the activity settings.

Note: The default Player Skin does not give students the option to download the file. The second player skin includes a download button.

9. Under the Common Module Settings Tab, you can edit settings like availability to students, ID number, and group options:

10. Under the Restrict Access Tab, you can restrict access to some users if needed by clicking the Add restriction button.

11. Under the Tags tab, you can add any relevant tags.

12. Click the Save and return to the course button at the bottom of the page.

13. Video Presentation should now be available for view in course.
