Moodle 3: Blocks: Updating Profile Picture

  

Upload a New Photo

All Profile Pictures are uploaded and approved through the LSU Photos Web SiteYou cannot update your photo from Moodle

Please note, students can only see their own profile pictures and those in instructor-type roles. Instructors can see everyone's profile picture. 

1. Open the LSU Photos Web Site.

2. Click the Get Started link.  Located on the top menu bar.

3. Read through the list of requirements and click Agree

4. Enter your LSU email and ID number, then click the Choose File button. Choose the photo you want to use from the menu then click open. Click Upload Photo when finished.

Reprocess the Photo in Moodle

After the New Photo is submitted and approved, the profile picture in Moodle 3 will need to be manually updated before you will see your New Photo.

1. Login into Moodle.

2. Find the block on the RIGHT, under "My Profile Picture".

3. Click the "Reprocess" link.  (If you do not see this block, you may need to Add the My Profile Picture Block.)

4. Click the Continue button.

Note: if you do not see your updated picture, clear your browser's cache.

 

Add This Block

NOTE: You will only need to do these steps if you do not see the My Profile Picture block on your Moodle page.

1. Click Edit to turn editing On. It's the green button in the top right corner of the page.

2. Select My Profile Picture in the Add a Block drop-down box.

Removing the Profile Photo:

To remove profile photo from your account, you will have to get in contact with the Tiger Card office. You can call  (225) 578-4300 or email them at tigercard.lsu.edu.
